Contract talks between West Bromwich Albion and Saido Berahino have reportedly stalled.
The 20-year-old forward has impressed for the Baggies and the England Under-21s this year, scoring two Premier League goals - including the winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, Berahino, who currently earns £850 per week, has rejected an improved deal worth £7,000 per week, meaning that as things stand he would be free to speak to another club in January.
The same source reports that Arsenal and Chelsea are poised to strike, with a compensation fee set at £300,000.
Berahino has hit six goals in four games for the U21s.
