West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed that he would welcome new arrivals at the club this summer.
The Baggies, who began their season with a 1-0 defeat to Southampton at the weekend, have not been too active in the transfer market this summer.
"Yes, maybe so, just to spruce it up a little bit so the lads know they will have to stay on their toes a little bit more," he told reporters at a press conference.
"They know if they are not performing there's someone there to take their place. It would be nice if we could have a few more new faces.
"We have a small squad, I think there's maybe 18 first-team players training on any given day."
Foster joined West Brom from Birmingham City in 2012.
