West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has reportedly given the club the green light to launch a move for Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede.
The 26-year-old has scored 24 goals in 44 Championship appearances for Blackburn since his arrival from Cardiff City last January, and his partnership with Jordan Rhodes has seen both players linked with a switch to the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, Pulis believes that Gestede could work alongside Saido Berahino in attack for the Baggies, who are looking to avoid losing their top scorer this month.
The report claims that Georgios Samaras could be allowed to leave The Hawthorns to make room for Gestede's potential arrival.
Samaras moved to West Brom on a free transfer in the summer after his Celtic contract expired.
