West Bromwich Albion have made an offer to sign Birmingham City defender Liam Ridgewell, according to Sky Sports News.
Baggies manager Roy Hodgson has made it known that he would like to boost his defensive options this month and it now appears that Ridgewell is one of his main targets.
Ridgewell, 27, is believed to be keen on a move away from the Blues, having handed in a transfer request at St Andrew's.
Despite his reported unhappiness, Ridgewell has still featured on a regular basis for Birmingham in all competitions this season.
