West Bromwich Albion have reportedly indicated that they would like to take Hednesford Town forward Lewis Archer on trial.
The 20-year-old recently left Rushall Olympic for the Pitmen, and the pacey frontman has already established himself as a key part of the Northern Premier League outfit.
According to the Express & Star, that has resulted in the Baggies requesting permission for Archer to spend time at the club's training ground ahead of a potential transfer.
However, the report suggests that Hednesford have turned down the offer, instead requesting a fee for any move due to Archer having penned a contract until January 2020.
A number of players have featured for the Staffordshire outfit before moving into the professional game, including Cohen Bramall who made the switch to Arsenal in January 2017.
