West Bromwich Albion have reportedly joined the race to sign Argentine striker Mariano Pavone.
According to The Mirror, Baggies sporting director Dan Ashworth has travelled to South America to watch the Lanus ace, who is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who had a spell at La Liga side Real Betis, has 10 goals in 17 games this season and is also said to have caught the eye of Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, Fulham and Swansea City.
Pavone has only made one appearance for his country, against Chile in April of 2007.
