West Bromwich Albion have released a statement insisting that they have not granted Peter Odemwingie permission to talk to Queens Park Rangers.
The 31-year-old forward has arrived at Loftus Road to begin negotiations with the London club, but Baggies bosses are adamant that no deal has yet been agreed between the two clubs.
"The club can confirm they have held further discussions with QPR today but those talks have so far proven fruitless and no agreement has been reached," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Albion would also like to make clear that Peter has not been given permission to speak to QPR about a potential move."
Reports have claimed that West Brom have consulted their lawyers and are considering taking legal action against Odemwingie.
