West Bromwich Albion are reportedly eyeing up a move for Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho.
The 28-year-old is currently sidelined with a muscular issue but was a key player for Manuel Pellegrini before entering the treatment room, contributing two goals from 14 La Liga appearances.
Pellegrini has insisted that Carvalho is happy in Spain and wants to help lead Betis' charge up the La Liga table, but West Brom are supposedly ready to test the Verdiblancos' resolve.
Sam Allardyce has already revealed that he wants to bring in a quartet of new players this month, and according to the Daily Mail, Carvalho is a target for the relegation-threatened Baggies.
However, the Portugal international is also said to be attracting the attention of Benfica, while Wolverhampton Wanderers were previously credited with an interest during the summer.
Carvalho will see his current deal at Betis expire in the summer of 2023, and the former Sporting Lisbon man boasts two goals and five assists from 71 appearances for the La Liga side.
