West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing Lucas Joao from fellow Championship club Reading.

With Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson West Brom's only current fit strikers, the Baggies are keen to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

According to Football Insider, they have identified Joao as a potential target and have registered their interest in the Reading forward.

With less than one year remaining on his current contract, the Angola international has been linked with a move away from the Royals this summer.

Joao made his return from injury in midweek, coming off the bench to score in Reading's comfortable 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Since joining the Royals in 2019, Joao has scored 39 goals and provided 14 assists in 84 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
