West Ham United manager David Moyes has no concerns about Jarrod Bowen's fitness ahead of the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie with Lyon on Thursday.

After missing four games in all competitions due to a heel injury, including both legs of the Hammers' last-16 triumph over Sevilla, Bowen returned to the starting lineup last weekend and scored the winning goal in their 2-1 Premier League victory over Everton.

The 25-year-old has since trained with the first-team squad ahead of West Ham's midweek clash with Lyon, and Moyes has revealed that the forward should be fit to feature at the London Stadium.

"Jarrod Bowen's trained. He seems fine. He's not picked up any other injuries," the Scotsman said in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

"It's really good we've got him back because he got us a goal on Sunday and played a huge part. Who knows if he'd have been in the England squad for the games just gone? Overall he's been really good for us.

"I'm not worried about his fitness, but if you've been out for five or six weeks, sometimes it's the one or two games after the first game...I'm hoping he'll be okay in everything he does."

Moyes has also provided a fitness update on defensive duo Ben Johnson and Vladimir Coufal; the latter was named in the matchday squad last weekend for the first time since he underwent successful groin surgery in February.

"Ben Johnson's trained so I'm hoping he'll be okay. Vladimir [Coufal] we've brought back and we're still not totally convinced he's 100%, so he might just need a bit more time."

The Hammers will, however, be without playmaker Manuel Lanzini, who will serve a one-match suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards. body check tags ::
