West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has admitted that a run in the FA Cup would give the club a big boost.
The Hammers host Everton tonight in a third-round replay after the sides drew 1-1 at Goodison Park at the start of the month.
While he insists that West Ham will find it hard to get past the Toffees and into the fourth round, Noble is relishing the prospect of going far in the tournament this season.
"A cup run would mean a lot to the club. Everyone wants to play in the FA Cup, it's such a big trophy with so much history and it gives the fans a massive buzz if you get to the latter stages," he told the club's official website.
"It becomes a right good feeling around the camp to get to those games. It would be disrespectful to Everton to start talking about that yet, because we have a big game against them and we need to win that first."
West Ham were knocked out in the third round of last season's competition thanks to a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Nottingham Forest.
