West Ham United star Dimitri Payet has described his FA Cup goal against Manchester United as one of the most "beautiful" that he has ever scored.
The Frenchman managed to beat goalkeeper David de Gea with a 30-yard free kick in the 68th minute to give the Hammers the lead on Sunday, but Anthony Martial equalised for the Red Devils seven minutes from time.
The 1-1 draw means that the two sides will have to replay their quarter-final at Upton Park.
When asked about his goal, Payet told West Ham TV: "It's true that it was a lovely goal but I wanted it to give us victory. Unfortunately, they caught up with us at the end, we are a little disappointed, but I think we played a good game here at Old Trafford and we'll have to be very good at home to reach the semi-finals.
"I think it's one of my most beautiful goals, and on top of that at a ground that I particularly appreciate. Past a very good goalkeeper as well, so everything came together to make for one of my best goals this season."
Payet has scored five times in his last six matches in all competitions.
