There were no goals in the opening 45 minutes at Upton Park between West Ham United and Stoke City.
The visitors made a bright start, and had a chance to take an early lead when Kenwyne Jones broke from midfield, but he blasted his strike over the crossbar.
The Potters had another chance in the 22nd minute as Marc Wilson attempted a volley from the edge of the penalty area, which was initially dropped by Jussi Jaaskelainen, but the keeper managed to grab the ball back and tip it wide before Jonathan Walters managed to connect with the loose ball.
Modibo Maiga had the pick of the chances for the Hammers around 10 minutes before half time, but his header went just wide.
Stoke continued to have the majority of the possession just before the break but could not break the deadlock.
