West Ham United forward Enner Valencia will undergo a scan today after suffering a foot problem on his return from a previous toe injury.
The 25-year-old spent three matches on the sidelines after cutting his foot on a broken cup last month.
At the weekend, Valencia returned to the starting XI and competed in a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at Upton Park.
The forward has revealed that during the game, one of his opponents accidentally stepped on his foot, which now requires medical attention.
"I don't know yet how serious it is as they are going to run a scan on Monday," Valencia told the club's official website. "It was not done on purpose - a Stoke player stepped backwards and onto my foot. I think I have a little bit of an injury on my foot, but we have to run a scan on Monday to be sure."
The Hammers are ninth in the Premier League table with six games left to play.
