West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has admitted that his side was too wasteful in attack during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Everton in the Premier League.
The Hammers looked on course for a point at Goodison Park before Romelu Lukaku found the net late on for the hosts.
"Unfortunately, it wasn't quite good enough in the end," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"Our chances in the final third we should have done a lot better with and those wasted moments could have been the turning point for us.
"We never caused Everton too many problems because of our final ball and our final pass - they didn't put enough fear into their defenders."
West Ham continue their Premier League campaign next Saturday at home to Hull City.
