West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce believes that striker Andy Carroll will regularly find the net following his goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old, who is on loan at Upton Park from Liverpool for the season, picked up his first goal for the Hammers in a 3-1 defeat to Spurs at White Hart Lane.
"It was brilliant for him and about time too, to be honest," Sky Sports News quotes Allardyce as saying. "It hasn't meant anything to us but it gets him off the mark. It shows the rest of my players if we put the ball in the right area, Andy will score."
Meanwhile, West Ham currently sit eighth in the league table.
