West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has praised James Collins for his "terrific" performance during Saturday's draw with Stoke City.
The in-form Hammers came from two goals down at the Britannia Stadium to earn themselves a 2-2 draw in the Premier League encounter.
Having filled in for the injured James Tomkins in recent weeks, Allardyce believes that Collins did himself proud with another impressive display against the Potters.
"Well James has played so well before this game. He stepped in for James Tomkins when he got injured before the Burnley match, took his place and played his third outstanding game on Saturday," he told the club's official website.
"The amount of blocks and headers was terrific. He wasn't happy as he thought he should be protected more by his players but he was there when we needed him."
Saturday's draw saw West Ham slip down to fifth place in the Premier League table.
