Jarrod Bowen will be looking to break two Premier League scoring records for West Ham United when they travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The 27-year-old has developed into an integral first-team star for the Hammers since joining the club in 2020, scoring 59 goals and registering 40 assists in 197 appearances across all competitions.
This season, Bowen has once again been a standout performer for David Moyes's side, who sit seventh in the Premier League table and have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Bowen is West Ham's top scorer this term with 19 goals in 39 matches, including 15 strikes in the Premier League which is his best return in the top flight.
The England international netted his most recent goal in the Hammers disappointing 4-3 defeat away against Newcastle United last weekend, before setting up Kurt Zouma to score an equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
Bowen out to break Di Canio, Payet West Ham records
Should Bowen get his name on the scoresheet against Wolves on Saturday, he will equal Paulo Di Canio's record for the most goals scored by a West Ham player in a single Premier League season.
Hammers legend Di Canio spent three-and-a-half years at the club and enjoyed his best scoring season in 1999-00 when he netted 16 times in 30 appearances.
The majority of Bowen's success this season has come away from the London Stadium, as he has been involved in 12 goals in his 14 Premier League outings on the road – scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
Bowen will break the record for the most goal contributions in Premier League away games by a West Ham player in a single campaign if he registers either a goal or an assist on Saturday, surpassing the previous record set by ex-Hammers playmaker Dimitri Payet.
The Frenchman, now 37 and plying his trade at Brazilian club Vasco da Gama, scored five goals and provided seven assists across 14 Premier League away games for West Ham during the 2015-16 season.
Moyes wants Bowen to reach the 20-goal milestone
Moyes has been immensely impressed with Bowen's form in the final third this season and has set the attacker a goalscoring target to reach before the season comes to a close.
"Someone told me Jarrod Bowen's now scored 19 goals in all competitions, and if he got to 20 that'd be great," the Scotsman said at a pre-match press conference on Friday. "In my head, if he got to 20 Premier League goals that would be a brilliant achievement.
"He's someone who doesn't always play as a No.9 - he's quite often been out wide - so his numbers show his capabilities. He's got a lot of assists as well, and he continues to be very impressive."
Bowen has an impressive scoring record against Wolves, as he has found the net five times in his previous eight league meetings with the West Midlands outfit, including a strike in the 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium in December.
Victory for West Ham on Saturday would see them consolidated their place in the top seven as well as move level on points with sixth-placed Manchester United, who play host to leaders Liverpool on Sunday. body check tags ::
