Former West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he was impressed with the way that Reece Oxford handled himself on his Premier League debut against Arsenal.
The 16-year-old started in midfield for the Hammers and won plaudits for his performance in the 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Redknapp has said that Slaven Bilic's gamble to pick the youngster paid off.
"He looked like he played there all his life," Redknapp told talkSPORT. "He strolled around and never gave the ball away.
"He's a very confident kid. It was a bold move to pick him and it proved a great move."
Oxford became the second-youngest player to start a Premier League match, behind Jose Baxter of Everton.
