West Ham United defender Joey O'Brien has insisted that the team's strong start to the season is "no fluke".
The Hammers currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table thanks to three wins in their last four matches.
Despite fears that the international break will hamper West Ham's progress, O'Brien is confident that they can push on once domestic duties resume next weekend.
"The international break is one of those things we just need to deal with. Being fourth is no fluke as we're eleven games into the season," he told the club's official website.
"We've had a few international breaks already this year and they don't seem to have affected us, hopefully this one won't either."
O'Brien is nearing a return to full fitness for the Hammers following a spell on the sidelines through injury.
