West Ham United forward Andy Carroll has reportedly been ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old, who moved to Upton Park on an initial season-long loan from Liverpool last Thursday, was forced to pull out of England's World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine after limping off in the 68th minute of the Hammers' 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.
According to the Daily Mail, a scan has revealed that Carroll's injury will take longer to heal than first anticipated and it is likely to result in a six-week lay-off.
Carroll is now expected to miss four Premier League fixtures, as well as the League Cup tie with Wigan Athletic later this month.
