Teddy Sheringham has said that Sam Allardyce has been "fantastic" since he took up a role alongside the West Ham United manager this summer.
The former striker was brought in to work with the squad's attacking players ahead of the start of the 2014-15 season, and has helped them to their best start to a Premier League campaign.
The 48-year-old told the club's website: "I think Sam has been fantastic. I couldn't have asked to work with a better boss for my first real impression of what managerial life is like. He's been very open with me and I've got the utmost respect for that.
"He's very experienced and in a nice place at the moment here at the club, which adds to a nice atmosphere around the place."
