West Ham United have challenged the decision to send off Carlton Cole in the 2-1 defeat to Everton on Saturday.
After scoring the opener at Upton Park, the Hammers striker was shown a red card for a high challenge on visiting defender Leighton Baines.
Everton's Darron Gibson was also dismissed for a similar offence in stoppage time as both sides finished the game with 10 men.
The Toffees announced earlier today that they would be appealing Gibson's sending off, and West Ham have since followed suit.
Both hearings will take place on December 27, meaning that Cole could be available for his side's next match following the postponement of their Boxing Day clash with Arsenal.
