Crystal Palace come from two goals behind to earn a 2-2 draw with West Ham United courtesy of a 97th-minute goal from Wilfried Zaha.

Crystal Palace have recorded a 2-2 draw with West Ham United courtesy of Wilfried Zaha's 97th-minute goal at Selhurst Park.

West Ham had taken a two-goal lead into half time, but Palace halved the deficit from the spot through Luka Milivojevic before Zaha's dramatic equaliser in the final minute.

The conclusion did not compare to the opening of the game in London as both teams struggled to create anything of note during the first 30 minutes, but it was not long before the Hammers went ahead.

A swift counter-attack ended with Aaron Cresswell crossing for Javier Hernandez, whose first-time finish from close range secured his fourth Premier League goal of the campaign.

Up the other end, Joe Hart made a stunning save to deny James Tomkins, and his efforts were rewarded when West Ham doubled their lead through Andre Ayew, who drilled a wonderful strike into the top corner of the net.

West Ham were on track for a much-needed win in the top flight but five minutes after the break, Palace pulled a goal back from the spot through Milivojevic after Andros Townsend had been hauled down in the box.

The converted spot kick led to a momentum change at Selhurst Park, with Yohan Cabaye soon striking the post from 20 yards out.

It was one-way traffic in Palace's favour with Hart making excellent saves to deny both Zaha and Cabaye, and the Hammers were on the back foot heading into the closing stages.

The match appeared all but over but deep into added-on time, Zaha held off the attentions of Cheikhou Kouyate before sending a low effort into the far corner of Hart's net.

Palace sit four points adrift from safety - despite their unlikely point - while West Ham are only 16th and Slaven Bilic may have to answer more questions regarding his future.
