West Ham United have defeated Cork City 6-2 in their pre-season friendly encounter at Turners Cross.
Alou Diarra nodded in the opener before Joe Cole pounced to double the lead after 18 minutes.
A fine solo effort from former Rochdale winger Adam Rundle cut the deficit before the break, but the Hammers had the opportunity to restore their two-goal cushion moments after the restart.
The referee pointed to the spot when Ravel Morrison was sent tumbling inside the box and Mark Noble stepped up to take the penalty kick, which was pushed wide by goalkeeper Kevin Burns.
Matt Taylor and Paul McCallum did find the net to make it 4-1 before Noble got the chance to make amends from the 12 yards out in the 73rd minute. This time he made no mistake.
Ravel Morrison added to the advantage with five minutes remaining, but the final word went to the hosts as Danny Morrissey nudged home Ciaran Kilduff's cross.
