West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he will tie veteran midfielder Kevin Nolan down to a new deal shortly.
The 33-year-old is out of contract with the Hammers next summer and recently issued Bilic with a 'play me or sell me' ultimatum, amid fears that he could struggle for first-team chances.
"Of course I'm going to speak with Kev," the Croatian is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"He is a major player and I'm the first one to admire his career, we have already had a little chat and we will talk more. I will sort it out with Kev."
Nolan, who joined from Newcastle United in 2011, was a prominent fixture during Sam Allardyce's reign at Upton Park, making over 100 league appearances.
He started Thursday's Europa League defeat at Astra Giurgiu, which saw the Irons bow out with a 4-3 aggregate loss.
