Sevilla have reportedly moved closer to signing Javier Hernandez after the West Ham United forward handed in a transfer request.
Hernandez has struggled to hold down a regular starting role since moving to the London Stadium in 2017, contributing 16 goals from 31 starts and 24 substitute outings in the Premier League.
The arrivals of Sebastian Haller and Albian Ajeti have left the 31-year-old as third choice in the pecking order, which has seemingly resulted in the Mexico international asking to leave the Hammers.
According to the Daily Mail, Hernandez is already on the brink of making the switch to Sevilla having held discussions with the La Liga side this week.
The report claims that while Sevilla have indicated that they are willing to pay £7m, West Ham are attempting to hold out for £8m.
Hernandez has less than a year remaining on his contract with the Premier League outfit.
