Recently-appointed Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren is reportedly interested in West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho.
According to the Daily Mail, Sakho is now McClaren's number one target after other options Charlie Austin and Saido Berahino were deemed too expensive.
Senegalese international Sakho, 25, joined West Ham from FC Metz for £4m last summer and scored 10 goals in 23 league games.
He started his career with Metz, scoring 44 goals in 114 games.
Dutch striker Bas Dost is also apparently a transfer target for Newcastle.
