West Ham United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle United during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has struggled for playing time under Rafael Benitez, featuring for a combined 89 minutes in the Premier League this term.
A return to former club Anderlecht has been touted, with Mitrovic keen to kickstart his career away from St James' Park, but the Daily Mail claims that remaining in the Premier League may also be an option.
Newcastle are said to be willing to offload the Serbia international to West Ham next month, and David Moyes is in the market for a new striker to further reinvigorate his side's survival hopes.
The Hammers had been relying on injured duo Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez in the striking department, with just 14 goals being scored in the Hammers' first 16 top-flight matches.
