West Ham United are reportedly ready to make a £12m approach for Atletico Mineiro striker Lucas Pratto as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
The Hammers are said to be long-time admirers of the 28-year-old, who has a fixed fee in his contract and is available to purchase in January.
According to The Sun, West Ham are happy to hand over the eight-figure sum for the Argentine ace - seen as an alternative, or potential replacement, for Andy Carroll up top.
Pratto has previous experience of European football with Genoa in Serie A, but it is in his homeland where he has had more joy after being named Player of the Year in Argentina three years ago.
Capped four times for his country, Pratto is eligible to play in English football thanks to his past and is understood to be open to the prospect of plying his trade in the Premier League.
