Southampton 'to rival West Ham United for Matty Cash'

:Headline: Southampton 'to rival West Ham United for Matty Cash':
Southampton are reportedly ready to rival West Ham United in the race to sign Nottingham Forest wide player Matty Cash.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is reportedly showing an interest in Nottingham Forest wide player Matty Cash.

With competition required for Yan Valery at right-back, the Saints have been tipped to push through a permanent deal for Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

However, according to The Sun, Hasenhuttl may switch his attention to trying to sign versatile right-sided player Cash.

The 22-year-old, who can play at full-back and in midfield, contributed three goals and five assists from 42 appearances in the Championship this season.

Despite being regarded as a key man at the City Ground, Forest may be open to accepting a bid in the region of £12m.

West Ham United are also keen on Cash as they bid to find a replacement for Pablo Zabaleta and Jeremy Ngakia. body check tags ::
