West Ham United and Aston Villa are reportedly battling for the signature of Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.
The 29-year-old is yet to turn out for the Nerazzurri this season as he nurses a serious knee injury, although he is understood to be closing in on a comeback.
However, the Uruguay international is about to enter the final 18 months of his deal with Antonio Conte's side and has been tipped to seek pastures new next month.
According to Calciomercato, West Ham and Aston Villa are both admirers of the Inter midfielder, and the two Premier League outfits have both made offers for Vecino ahead of the January transfer window.
Vecino has banked 11 goals and six assists for Inter since his 2017 arrival from Fiorentina, but the midfielder is yet to win any major honours with the Nerazzurri.
Vecino's teammate Christian Eriksen is also being strongly linked with an exit from San Siro next month, and the playmaker is reportedly open to a return to Tottenham Hotspur after struggling to become a regular fixture in Conte's team.
