West Ham United have reportedly had a bid rejected by Anderlecht for Leander Dendoncker.
The Belgium international has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Last summer, Anderlecht sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck admitted that the Belgian outfit would find it difficult to reject an offer of between £22.3m and £31.3m for the 22-year-old.
According to Sky Sports News, West Ham launched a bid for the midfielder on transfer deadline day, but it was not enough to convince Anderlecht to part with a player that has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season.
Dendoncker's agent Christophe Henrotay claimed last summer that his client "wants a new challenge".
