West Ham United have tabled a bid in the region of £28m for in-demand Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, according to a report.
The 22-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a switch to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the past, is currently on Euro 2016 duty with national side Belgium.
It has been claimed by Sky Sports News that West Ham have now officially joined the race to land the ex-Standard Liege forward, although their initial offer may change as the exchange rate fluctuates following Friday's Brexit vote.
Batshuayi has already announced his intention to depart Marseille this summer, leading to many of European football's top clubs to show a reported interest, with Serie A champions Juventus thought to be at the top of his wishlist.
West Ham are also said to be closely monitoring Juve striker Simone Zaza, who is rated at around the £15m mark by the Turin club just a year after joining from Sampdoria.
