Wigan Athletic midfielder Jordi Gomez has expressed his delight in grabbing a hat-trick for the Latics against Reading.
The 27-year-old, who helped Roberto Martinez's side snatch a 3-2 win over Reading on Saturday, became the second Spaniard in Premier League history to net a hat-trick.
"It's good to know Torres and me are the only Spanish players to have scored hat-tricks in the Premier League and I hope there are more to come," Wigan Today quotes Gomez as saying.
"Everyone has signed the match ball and I will keep it somewhere safe at home. My last hat-trick was when I was a kid. I was 11 or 12 and was at Barcelona so it's been a long time, but I'm very happy to score a hat-trick and the team won. We got the result we wanted and it can't be better."
Wigan currently sit 15th in the league table.
