Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler has said that he is expecting his players to draw on their big-game experience in the upcoming Championship playoff semi-final against Queens Park Rangers.
Despite a stuttering end to the season in which they lost four of their last six games, the Latics managed to finish fifth in the table to set up a semi-final against QPR, with whom they were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Rosler wants his players to draw on their experience from last year's famous FA Cup final win against Manchester City and also this year's run in the competition, where they beat City again before cruelly losing on penalties to Arsenal.
"This squad know all about big games at Wembley and that can only be a positive for us," Rosler told BBC Radio Manchester.
There was just one goal in the two meetings between Wigan and QPR this season. Yossi Benayoun scored it to give QPR victory in their home match during the season, with the reverse ending goalless at the DW Stadium.
Derby County and Brighton & Hove Albion contest the other playoff semi.
