Yanic Wildschut has admitted that he is relishing the prospect of gaining some further experience on loan at Wigan Athletic in League One.
The forward, who joined the Latics on a three-month deal from Middlesbrough at the start of October, has made a positive impact at his new club so far.
Wildschut scored his second goal for Wigan in the 3-2 win over Peterborough United last time out with a fine individual effort, leaving him unbeaten since joining.
Speaking to Athletic's official website, the 23-year-old said: "I'm really enjoying it. First of all I'm playing games which is important, and secondly the lads are all great, the manager and the technical staff have been very supportive, and the welcome I've had has been really good.
"It makes me feel good, and if I feel good I think I'll play good, score goals and make assists, which is a win-win situation for everybody.
"I haven't been playing for a while, so I'm very happy to be playing now. I'm grateful to be on the pitch, which is why I play with a smile."
Wildschut has three goals for the season overall, having also found the net for Middlesbrough in the first round of the League Cup at Oldham Athletic.
