Wigan and Yeovil share five goals in the final eight minutes in a dramatic 3-3 draw at the DW Stadium this evening.

Wigan Athletic and Yeovil Town shared five goals in the final eight minutes of their Championship clash at the DW Stadium this evening, eventually earning a point apiece in a dramatic 3-3 draw.

Both sides struggled to create chances in the opening stages of the match, but Wigan were handed a glorious opportunity to break the deadlock in the 25th minute when Nick Powell was adjudged to have been brought down in the area by Matteo Lanzoni.

Yeovil's protests were ignored by referee Andy D'Urso, but they proved to be irrelevant anyway as Marek Stech made a fine save to deny Jordi Gomez's spot kick.

The hosts threatened again six minutes after the restart when Jean Beausejour found himself in space, only to fire his subsequent effort wide of the mark.

They did eventually break the deadlock in the 56th minute when Powell beat the offside trap to latch on to a cross and nod home from close range.

The Glovers refused to give up late on, however, and levelled the scores in the 82nd minute when Ishmael Miller produced a calm finish to beat Ali Al-Habsi from inside the box.

Miller sent the visiting fans into dreamland just three minutes later as he produced a fine finish to complete a dramatic turnaround late on.

There was plenty more drama to come, however, as James McArthur levelled things up again almost immediately before Byron Webster appeared to have handed victory back to the Latics by turning the ball into his own net in the 88th minute.

However, Yeovil rescued an unlikely point deep into second-half stoppage when Luke Ayling got the final touch to a corner to make it 3-3 and end Wigan's eight-game winning streak.
