Wigan Athletic and Queens Park Rangers have played out a goalless draw in their Championship clash at the DW Stadium this evening.
QPR took the game to their hosts in the opening minutes as Niko Kranjcar let fly with his left, but his effort flew high and wide of the goal.
Nick Powell tried to hit back for the hosts as he was played in neatly by Callum McManaman, but the Manchester United loanee's effort was saved down low.
McManaman then had an effort of his own as his shot narrowly flew past Robert Green's post with Wigan pushing to take the lead.
QPR carved out a great chance to go ahead in the 32nd minute, but Gary O'Neil's effort was kept out after a fine piece of goalkeeping.
The visitors wasted another good chance as the end of the half closed in, this time as Charlie Austin's right-footed shot from the left side of the box edged wide of the post.
Wigan started well in the second half and should have gone ahead, but Chris McCann's header hit the post after a cross from Jordi Gomez.
QPR's Andrew Johnson then produced some great work as he tried to convert the ball from a difficult angle, with his shot narrowly going wide, leaving the final score at 0-0.
