Carlisle United have signed Wigan Athletic midfielder Danny Redmond on a one-month loan.
The 22-year-old will stay at Brunton Park until March 8.
"Danny will give us a number of different options," Carlisle manager Graham Kavanagh told the club's official website. "He's left-footed and he can play in a number of positions.
"He can play at the left of a front three or in the same type of role a little bit deeper in midfield. He's very good in possession of the ball so he can play off the shoulder as a number 10."
Kavanagh added: "He's been a little bit unlucky because [former Wigan boss] Roberto Martinez really liked him, but he moved on. He's had two other managers since then, Owen Coyle and Uwe Rosler, so it can become hard to make your mark and find some continuity.
"He's one we think will really add to the group so it's now up to him to settle as quickly as possible and show everyone what he can do."
Redmond has made four first-team appearances for Wigan, including a 32-minute cameo during the Latics' 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in this season's League Cup in September.
He has been handed 24 as a squad number by Carlisle and has been named as a substitute in this afternoon's League One clash with Gillingham.
Carlisle also confirmed the arrival of Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on a short-term loan today.
