Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has given his support to new Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett ahead of the two clubs' Championship meeting on Saturday lunchtime.
Rowett was announced as the new Blues boss on Monday, leaving League Two side Burton Albion, and his first test will be a daunting trip to Wolves, who are level on points with Derby County and Watford at the top of the table.
"Gary has done very well at Burton over a number of seasons and quite rightly gets the chance now at Championship level," Jackett told Wolves' website today.
"I'm sure their club will respond positively to a new manager after that defeat and we have to really concentrate on this game. Because of our league position and their most recent result, we will be favourites."
Birmingham's last result was without Rowett - an 8-0 drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth.
"I am sure their club will respond positively to a new manager after that defeat [against Bournemouth]," added Jackett.
Birmingham go into the match 23rd in the table and on a run of three straight defeats.
