Kenny Jackett: 'We can't be afraid of Middlesbrough'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that his side can't show any fear when they face Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that his side cannot afford to show Middlesbrough too much respect during their fixture at the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Middlesbrough boast an excellent home record that has seen them record 46 points from 21 games, but Jackett has insisted that his team can't be "frightened" of a team who sit just seven points above them in the Championship table.

The 53-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Middlesbrough are a very good side and have a fantastic home record, but if we want to be in the Premier League, we can't be frightened of Middlesbrough.

"They've had an excellent season and have a good manager and group of players, but we want to be competitive in this division."

Wolves' 2-1 defeat at Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon has left them outside of the playoffs on goal difference.
