Kenny Jackett has admitted that Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently "searching for confidence" following their slow start to the campaign.
Much was expected of Wolves this term, but just two wins from their opening eight league games has left them down in 16th place in the Championship table.
Following his side's latest setback, a 1-1 draw with strugglers Preston North End, Jackett acknowledged that improvement is required if Wanderers are to turn around their early season fortunes.
"I think at times we look like we're searching for confidence," he is quoted as saying by the Express & Star. "There's a number of players at times who look like they're searching for confidence while wanting to do very well.
"It's a period we have to just keep working through wherever we can now, avoid injuries, and keep working to try to build up confidence and momentum."
Next up for Wolves is a trip to face Fulham on Tuesday night.
