New Wolverhampton Wanderers signing Tomasz Kuszczak has said that he is confident of becoming an important player for the club.
The 32-year-old has joined the Championship club on a short-term deal until January, but he believes that he has the quality to challenge current number one Carl Ikeme for his spot in goal.
"Competition is a good thing for everyone. Both of us have good experience, we can play in this division," the Birmingham Mail quotes him as saying.
"I'm here to support Carl by pushing him, I'm going to fight for my shirt and try to be a part of this team.
"This will help me and him as well, we understand that. I'm going to support him and I'm sure he will support me."
Kuszczak has previously had spells at Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion.
