Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan has blamed Steve Bruce for the club's delay in naming a new manager.
Former Sunderland boss Bruce spoke last week at his "disappointment" of failing to land the post at Molineux.
However, Morgan has claimed that Bruce was offered the role, but took too long in making a decision.
"Bruce accepted the job, he accepted it," said Morgan. "He took four days away from the process."
Terry Connor was handed the job until the end of the season.
