Terry Connor has been formally interviewed by Wolverhampton Wanderers bosses over the possibility of becoming the club's manager on a permanent basis.
The 49-year-old held formal talks with owner Steve Morgan on Monday at the chairman's Carden Park hotel complex in Cheshire, according to the Express & Star.
Chief executive Jez Moxey had reportedly identified Blackpool boss Ian Holloway as the leading candidate to lead the side next season, however he has always maintained that Connor could stay in charge long-term.
Wolves have claimed four points and conceded 30 goals during Connor's 12-game leadership.
