Wolverhampton Wanderers fought off a competitive Chesterfield side to secure a 2-1 pre-season friendly win.
Wolves took the lead inside the first few minutes of the game through midfielder David Edwards. Tongo Doumbia pulled the ball back for the onrushing midfielder, who delicately placed it into the bottom corner of the net.
However, the lead lasted little more than 15 minutes, as Drew Talbot turned inside before placing a shot beyond the reach of Carl Ikeme.
Leigh Griffiths restored the visitors' lead after cleverly rounding the goalkeeper and stroking the ball into an empty net on the hour mark.
Both sides made a host of changes as the game progressed and the pace of the match slowed significantly.
Armand Gnanduillet came closest for the hosts, but Carl Ikeme made a number of smart saves to keep his side's lead intact.
