Wolverhampton Wanderers have handed a one-week trial to Crewe Alexandra striker Max Clayton.
The 19-year-old is currently out of contract at Gresty Road, but he remains with the club because the League One outfit will require a compensation fee should he seal a transfer to a new side.
Earlier in the summer, Clayton spent a week with Sunderland, but after the two clubs were unable to agree on a fee, the forward will now spend the next seven days in the West Midlands.
The England Under-19 international was sidelined for the majority of the last campaign with an ankle injury.
