Fulham are reportedly keen to sign Richard Stearman from Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The defender was widely regarded to have been one of Wolves' best players last term, but he has just 12 months left to run on his contract at Molineux.
That is a situation that Fulham boss Kit Symons is hopeful that he can take advantage of, according to the Shropshire Star.
The report added that Symons will be handed around £10m this summer to make squad improvements ahead of an expected promotion push in 2015-16.
Wolves are known to be keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old, but they may look to cash in on his services if a new deal cannot be agreed.
