Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has admitted that he would be delighted to secure a permanent deal for midfielder Michael Jacobs.
Jacobs has impressed during a loan spell from Derby County, and Jackett has revealed that discussions have been held to try to keep the 22-year-old at Molineux.
The 51-year-old told the club's official website: "He is somebody that we like and at 22, has a very good future and hopefully that will be at Wolves.
"There have been discussions and hopefully something positive will be given out shortly. It's been in the hands of Kevin Thelwell and we have been in discussions about a permanent move.
"I don't know if we are close yet and I can't say any more, but that's good news for me because I like the player and I would love it to work out."
Jacobs has scored one goal in eight appearances since joining Wolves in November.
